Key(s) Missing on Keyboard, (Usually caused by little ones plucking your keys off). If you find yourself missing individual key(s) on an otherwise good working keyboard; we can save you money by replacing just the key(s) without having to replace the entire keyboard. The First key is $15.00; additional key(s) $10 each. Keyboard not working, (Spilled coffee, wine, or juice).  We take our laptops every where, dining table, backyard, even the bathroom. After all, they are portable. Spilling liquid on a laptop usually results in a few keys not working or sometimes the whole keyboard may malfunction. Keyboards are replaced not repaired. Broken Hinge(s) A broken or warn out hinge assemble can be the result of physical damage to the laptop or simple ware and tear over time. Either way we can fix this issue. Hinge replacement is a common repair and we stock hinge assemblies for most major brands. Cost: $35.00 per hinge $55.00 Labour (While you wait service*)

Broken LCD Panel, (Dropped, stepped on or squeezed).  We have a 100% success rate with replacing broken LCD panels. We carry a wide selection of LCD panels and hard to find laptop screens. The Laptop LCD panels in our stock range from $89.00 to $175.00 Installation fee is $35.00. (While you wait service*)

Dim LCD Screen Reason 1 – A dim LCD screen usually means a bad inverter. The inverter is a device that is connected between the video card and the LCD panel and is responsible for powering the bulb inside the LCD panel. Inverter replacement is a fairly simple repair and can be done quickly. Estimated Repair Cost: $89.00 to $129.95 parts and labour. (While you wait service*)

Dim LCD Screen Reason Number 2 – The second most common reason for a dim LCD screen is a burnt out LCD bulb or backlight. This bulb is located inside the LCD panel. There are two ways to remedy this issue. The first and least expensive is a backlight replacement. This procedure requires the LCD panel to be opened up and the internal bulb replaced. Estimated Repair Cost: $119.99.  The second option to correct this issue is to replace the LCD panel. Estimated Repair Cost: $89.00 to $175.00 plus $60.00 Installation. (While you wait service*)

Power connector (DC Jack) loose or broken – This is one of the most common repairs we see. When this happens, it may appear that your laptop is dead or your AC adapter is faulty. We can diagnose this issue while you wait and possibly save you a second trip to our facility. This is a fairly routine repair but like most things, it must be done properly to avoid having this problem reoccur. This job requires soldering and must be done on top and bottom of laptop board to ensure proper connector integrity. In most cases the connector must be replaced. Overheating and Shutting Down – Heat is the enemy of electrical components. If a cooling fan stops working, or too much dust gets into the heatSink assembly, your processor will run at a higher temperature. When a temperature threshold has been reached, the processor will shut down immediately to prevent heat damage. We recommend a delicate but thorough cleaning to avoid this situation. Dead Motherboard (No power usually caused by faulty component on circuit board, liquid damage or failed charging system)  – A dead motherboard can mean a lot of things so this repair requires the testing of components to locate the source of the problem. We are great at bringing motherboards back to life and have a very high success rate. If a repair store tells you your motherboard is dead and has to be replaces you should have us look at it. Quirky Motherboard or Video Card (Strange behavior or display) – Intermittent power issues or graphics problems can be corrected by reflowing and or reballing the video chip. Sometimes it is simply not repairable. If that happens to be the case, we can still replace the motherboard to get it going again. Estimated repair cost: $149.95 to $199.95 parts and labour. Laptop Centre can provide you with immediate service. That means we move you to the front of the queue and assign a technician to work on your laptop immediately.
